Summer Internship 2022


Carbon Reform (Newark, DE) is looking for an onsite intern, full-time for the summer months with potential to continue part-time or full-time in the fall. We are a startup, so this is a hybrid role where you will gain a breadth of experience across different areas of our business. Details about the position and preferred qualifications are below.

Location: 225 Corporate Blvd, Newark, DE 19702

Duration: May 31st - Aug 26th

Hours: 10am - 6pm, M-F

Compensation: $20/h


Preferred qualifications

  • 1+ years undergraduate education or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field

  • Proficiency with social media platforms

  • Organized, creative, productive with independent work but a team player in a collaborative setting

  • Passion for learning new skills, thinking outside the box, and developing a new product/service

  • Passion for environmental sustainability, climate tech, carbon dioxide reduction

  • HVAC experience a plus but not required



  • Entry-level software development including testing IoT platforms for prototype

  • Some electrical configuration, wiring, testing for prototype

  • Site visits for pilot installations, setting up indoor air quality sensors, monitoring data

  • Run Carbon Reform blog, social media, and update website (front-end only)


Skills to be gained

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, indoor air quality equipment and regulations, polymer processing, product development, graphic design, web development, marketing experience, lab experience, independent research
